21 September 2026 update

  • Merge Bar now works both ways — tap the first bar of a row to merge it up, or the last bar to push it down onto the next row.
  • Tap the same bar again to undo.

16 September 2026 — Major update · iOS 1.3.3 / Android 1.3.3

  • Clean full-page view — scores and charts now open edge-to-edge with no buttons. Tap the page to show the menu; a Setlist button appears when the song belongs to a setlist.
  • Merge Bar — join bars so a row holds 5 (or more) bars, and short rows now stretch to fill the full width for easier reading.
  • New Save button in charts — stamp all your edits instantly so every share and export carries the latest version.
  • Fixed file handling — shared .scordial and .scoreset files now open straight in ScorDial from WhatsApp, Drive, Mail and file managers. No more raw-code previews.
  • Charts fit your phone — chord charts automatically re-flow for comfortable reading on smaller screens.
  • Setlist upgrades (iOS) — the setlist panel stays open while switching songs, song reordering is reliable, and search is bigger and clearer.
  • Fixed imported melodies sounding an octave too low (Android).
  • Plus: undo/redo now covers text moves, and key spelling improvements (F♯/G♭).

Frequently asked questions

Can I import from other chord chart apps and formats?

Yes — ScorDial imports PDF, images and camera scans, MusicXML, MIDI and .html chord charts, plus .4ss setlists. Imported charts become fully editable, so you can transpose and rearrange them like anything written in ScorDial.

Does ScorDial work offline?

Yes. ScorDial works entirely on-device — no account, no sign-in and no connection needed, so it is dependable on stage. Your library lives on your device.

Is ScorDial on both iPad and Android?

Yes — ScorDial runs on iPad, iPhone and Android phones and tablets. Its .scordial and .scoreset files are cross-platform, so charts, keys, ink and staves transfer faithfully in both directions.

Can I transpose charts and lock keys?

Transpose any chord chart with one tap, keep an Original-key reference, and lock a chart against accidental changes. Each setlist can even hold its own key for the same song.

How do I share setlists with other musicians?

Share a whole setlist as a single .scoreset file via AirDrop, Messages, Mail or Files — songs, order, keys and annotations all carry over. For musicians without ScorDial, Share PDF sends a standard PDF with your annotations baked in.

Is ScorDial a one-time purchase or a subscription?

A one-time purchase on the App Store and Google Play — no subscription and no account. You buy it once and it is yours.
