What can I import into ScorDial?
PDFs, images (including straight from the camera), MusicXML from other chord and notation apps, MIDI files, audio backing tracks, plain-text chord charts, and setlist files. You can also start from a blank canvas, a blank text chart, or a Staves page and create from scratch.
How do I move my library or a setlist to another tablet?
Use the app's export and share features: setlists and charts can be exported as files and sent to the other device by email, cloud storage, or messaging — including across platforms, iPad to Android and back. Open the file on the receiving tablet and choose ScorDial; the content rebuilds itself in the app.
Does ScorDial need an internet connection?
No — ScorDial is built to be fully usable offline, on stage, with no connection. The one exception: on Android, the optional voice-dictation feature performs a single, opt-in download of a speech model (about 98 MB) the first time you enable it. After that, dictation works completely offline too.
Is my data backed up anywhere?
Your library lives on your device only — nothing is uploaded to us, and on Android the app opts out of automatic cloud backup by design. We recommend periodically exporting anything important (setlists, key charts) to your own storage. Deleting the app deletes its data.
Voice dictation isn't working — what should I check?
- Make sure the microphone permission is granted in your device settings.
- On Android: confirm the one-time model download completed (you need roughly 100 MB free and a connection for that first download).
- On iPad: check that Speech Recognition is enabled for ScorDial in Settings, and that your selected language is supported.
I found a bug — what should I send you?
Email support@scordial.com with: your device model, your OS version, the app version (shown in the app's About/Legal screen), what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot or screen recording helps enormously.
Where is your privacy policy?
Right here: scordial.com/privacy. The short version: no accounts, no analytics, no tracking — your music stays on your device.
