Sharing & file formats

ScorDial uses two native container formats, plus standard PDF export for everyone else.

The two native formats

Format Contains Typical use
.scordial A single song — chord chart or PDF score, with ink, mini staves, placed notes and key state AirDrop or send one song to another ScorDial user
.scoreset A whole setlist — every song, in order, with per-song keys and all annotations Move a gig's entire book between devices or band members

Sharing and exporting

  • Share from the library, from a setlist row, or from the score's export menu — via AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Files or any share target.
  • Share PDF produces a normal PDF (readable anywhere) with annotations baked in. Share .scordial / .scoreset keeps everything editable for the receiving ScorDial user.
  • Export Pages lets you pick a subset of pages to export or save back into the library as a new score — for example, extract one movement from a big volume.

Cross-platform

Transfers are fully faithful in both directions between iPad, iPhone and Android — charts, keys, ink, PDFs and mini staves included.
